Flash Me A Field Trip Part 2

Friday Flash is finally here! Well I thought if I got myself geared up and excited I would write more, but I don't know if that will happen. If you would like to join us in flashing on Fridays just follow this link. Here is the continuation of Flash Me A Field Trip.

That afternoon I flung myself off the bus and ran toward home. My walking buddy , Jill, must have thought I was out of my mind and frankly she might be right. Not being able to get this necklace off was driving me nuts. I fished the key from my pocket and jammed it into the door, unlocking it. Wrenching it open and slamming it shut behind me I ran for the tool kit. I kinda hated the tool kit because all the tools were patronizingly pink. It had been a gift from my uncle when my father left us. At this moment I was very grateful for them. I opened it up and took out the needle nose pliers, he had also insisted that I learn wheat they were all called. I pulled up the chain and went to snip it. I had a surge of fear that something bad would come to the necklace. That was a silly thought, of course something bad is going to happen to it, I am going to hack it off me. I took a deep breath and pressed down firmly on the pliers. There was a loud metal grinding on metal sound. Nothing good could come from that sound. I tugged the necklace to remove it, only to realize it didn't cut. I looked at the pliers and there was a dent in them exactly the size of the chain.

The door slammed shut. I didn't even hear it open. Who could it be at this time I thought looking at the
window and realizing it was dark. I'm going to be in...

“Sarah! How many times do I have to tell you to lock the door? It is not safe out there and with you home alone. I have to know you are doing all you can to stay safe,” Mom lectured me from the kitchen where I could hear her banging around pots and pans to start dinner.

I felt disorientated, but knew I should probably at least yell back before she panicked. “Yes, mom,” I said loud enough, but with a hollow tone. Maybe it was just my ears.

Flash Me A Field Trip

Friday Flash is when I take the opportunity to share some of my flash fiction with you guys. Please feel free to join us and flash your audience as well.

I feel like a freaking animal being hoarded Sarah thought as she moved in the middle of the pack of high school students getting off the bus in front of the history museum. I am not really into history, but the traveling Greek Gods exhibit was much better than spending the day in class. Most of the exhibits were not very interesting, but when I got up to the glass of Hera's case I felt my eyes widen in wonder. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. A golden peacock decked out in colorful stones sitting on a thick golden necklace. The tour guide was saying something about it having been found in a collapsed temple to Hera and that the peacock was sacred to her. After that all I could hear was blah, blah, blah. I felt drawn to this beautiful bird. As I was staring at it the head moved and the tail feathers fluttered. I let out a squeak which drew the attention of most of the class.

Mrs. Nelson hurried over, “What's the matter child?”

“Uh,” I thought telling the class that I had just seen this beautiful necklace move would probably be a bad idea. “I bumped my nose on the glass.”

She already thought I was a weirdo anyway so looked at me with disproving eyes and said, “Be more careful please.” She went to stand near the tour guide leaving me and the peacock in peace.

I looked back at the necklace and was terrified to see that it was gone. I hadn't moved my head more than a few inches from the glass. No one could have possibly gotten it out without me noticing even with being distracted by Mrs. Nelson. I looked around, no one else seemed to have noticed it was missing and no alarms were going off. Of course they would probably be silent now wouldn't they. I moved away looking around to see if anything else was out of place or anyone was acting odd. Just then I realized I was acting odd.

We went through the rest of the tour and I barely heard a thing just counting the minutes until someone questioned us about the missing artifact. There was nothing we loaded back on the bus and just like nothing had ever happened. Maybe I imagined it I thought with relief. I heaved a sigh of relief and put my hand to my chest, where it met something cold. I started frantically feeling my neck and found it was wearing a thin chain with a pendant. I pulled it out to examine the pendant. It was a tiny gold peacock on a gold chain. Not as spectacular, but somehow it made me feel just like the one in the museum. Full of wonder. After a moment I snapped to and reached back to undo the clasp, only to find there wasn't one. I jerked on the chain a few times frantic to get it off, but the delicate looking chain held fast. Just then I realized the girl across the isle was watching me and I stopped. I would cut it off with pliers when I got home.

Flash Me A Chance

Friday Flash happens every Friday and the participants write a flash fiction story up to about 1000 words. My entry is very short this week only 200 words, but I am proud of them.

They were sitting next to each other trying to decide where to go from here."If I don't do this I will regret it forever," she said as she slid off the bed and to her knees "Take a chance. Please."

"W-what w-would it ah-accomplish?" he asked stuttering with conflict in his eyes and leaning away from her.

"I want to know what you feel like."

"Th-that is a va-valid qu-query." he said not able to make eye contact. Then it seemed like something inside him snapped he had come to a decision. He jumped off the bed moved away from her quickly. Her heart began to sink until he closed and locked the door to the spare bedroom.

He took her hand and helped her off the floor. Taking her in his arms he kissed her, softly at first then his mouth became hungry and his tongue greedy. He felt her breasts as he continued kissing. He fumbled with her bra for a moment. Then her milky breasts plummeted from their wire cage. He took the nipples between his fingers and began to manipulate them.

She could not believe that he was finally touching her. This was her fantasy coming true before her eyes and in his hands.

Flash Me a Gnome

I dismounted into the squishy mud and felt it creep around my foot. Each squelch was like pulling against a dog that had a hold of my boot. As I approached I marveled at how the decrepit structure was still standing. I knocked on the weathered wooden door and waited.

"Like I said the partnership will no doubt be a profitable one." Someone said on the other side of the door. It was wrenched open and I was almost bowled over by a red haired dwarf heading out of the door. I stepped aside just in time to avoid the collision landing me back in the mud, but at least I was still on my feet. "Good day," said the dwarf who had been talking when the door was closed. He walked by me and down the lane.

"And what can I do for you?" said a gnome who held himself like he owned a castle instead of a shack.

"I have been sent by King Ambron to secure your services. The princess-"

"No thank you, I am entirely too busy to fool with the whims of silly girls," he said as he began to close the door.

"The king said to name your price and-"

"Yes, yes, I am sure he will make it worth my wile. Gladly paying any price I set and all that nonsense," he said like he gets these offers every day. "I am just too busy. I have real work to tend to."

I was obviously loosing him so I had to try another tactic. "What are you working on that is keeping you too busy to serve your king?" His eyes narrowed and I immediately realized that I had said the wrong thing.

"I am under no obligation to serve your king," he put a great emphasis on the word your. "I am my master and will do as I wish. There are things you don't understand that have already been set in motion. Like the gears of my dolls your cog will soon be moving and you will be squished in them if I am not left to my work. Now be gone with you," he all but yelled.

"I understand that you are a very busy man," his eyes narrowed again, "I am sure there must be someone else around that you can refer me to. Someone who's work you strive to achieve. We are looking for the best and if you are not available we would be willing to look else ware." This was my last hope playing on his pride, but it could go a lot of different ways and most of them are bad.

"There is no one who's work I admire. I am the top of the line and you will not ever find someone better than me. I will take your commission, but it will cost your king dearly." he said and a mischievous smile crept across his face.

"As you have already said, he will pay any price you set," I said relieved that I had convinced him, though I am a little worried about the way he is looking at me.

A New Year's Resolution
By: Michelle Moon

Five, four, three, two, one! She turned to find Sam who had just been at her side for her kiss, but he had disappeared. When she found him he was sitting in a booth holding his beautiful face in his strong hands. She took the seat across from him.

"Where did you go? I was looking for my midnight kiss," she said with a slight pout on her red lips.

"Emily we have to talk," he said looking up at her with all seriousness in his eyes.

"All right," she said taken aback.

"It has been a great couple of months, but I don't think we are working out."

She gasped, "Not tonight, I don't believe you are going to do this now. I thought we were doing good."

"It's not you, it's me. We were having a fun time, but I am looking for something more permanent."

"I can be as permanent as you let me be."

"That's just it, I have to let you. We aren't easily fitting together." With that he stood and put his hand on her shoulder. "Some part of me wishes it was different, but I can't do this anymore. Come on I'll take you home."

She stood harshly brushing off his touch. "No thank you. I will find my own way home." Then she stormed out of the ballroom where she had been enjoying the most magical New Years Eve party she could remember. She wiped the tears from her eyes smudging her eyeliner. Asking the lady at the desk to call her a cab she sat down to wait.

She had expected him to come after her, but he didn't and she knew it was truly over. When the cab arrived she hopped in thankful she always carried cash in case of an emergency. She gave the driver her address and sat back. She went over in her mind the wonderful and the trying things in the relationship that had so abruptly ended. Right then and there she made the new year's resolution not to have a relationship with another man for the year. She was going to focus solely on herself and find what she wanted. The driver seemed to try his best to ignore the muttering that was coming from the back seat and she was happy he didn't try to make conversation.

Once home she hastily let her self into her apartment as hot angry tears still splashed down her face. After a relaxing shower she dressed in her most comfy satin PJ’s and poured herself a glass of wine. She then joined her cat on the sofa with the book she was reading. After a few good chapters she heard someone rattling her door handle.

She went to the door and peeked out the peep hole to find her neighbor from across the hall. He was putting a key in her lock then pulling it out and cursing. He looked very drunk. She opened the door, his eyes flew open as wide as saucers. “When I told you that you were welcome any time I didn't mean you would have to break and enter,” she said with a smile.

“Well crap got the wrong door can you believe that?”

“Not really because the gold numbers are pretty big,” She replied thinking of the first time they met and how hot she found him.

“It seems that Tequila not only makes your cloths fall off it makes you forget where you live. Or maybe it just gives you the courage to talk to the beautiful woman across the hall.”

“Oh I see,” she said. She realized she was hoping he was coming on to her and it was not just the tequila talking.

“We shouldn't stay here in the hall way to talk. Why don't you invite me in?”

She thought about the resolution she had made just a few hours ago and wondered if she should already break it with Dave. His hair was long, blond and worn loose. His eyes were blue, his build was long and lean. He seemed the perfect rebound and who keeps their resolutions anyway. She invited him in with one intention and he had no trouble reading her mind. They were barely in the door when he leaned in to kiss her. Her lips were a tingly fire. Staying intertwined they moved toward the couch as she unbuttoned his shirt. He returned the favor and she worked her way to his belt.

Her PJ bottoms fell off so easily it was like they had a mind of their own. Yes, this was moving so fast, but she needed to be in his arms. She stood unabashedly naked in front of him. He gently guided her on to the couch and his tongue explored every inch of her body. Lightly he sucked her neck and she felt tingles running through her body. As he moved agonizingly slow down her body every inch seemed to come alive. Her nipples were at attention by the time he brushed them with his skilled tongue. Causing her whole body to shudder as he sucked gently.

He kissed and licked down her stomach and as he moved lower she began to sigh slightly in anticipation. He moved down her thighs letting his hair brush her pussy. He worked his way back up her other thigh and this time her anticipation was relieved. His tongue circled around and around her clit until with each revolution she moaned and gyrated in time. Faster and faster until her body shuddered again and this time the release she had been looking for came. Kicking off his shoes and jeans he made it clear he intended to bring her to climax again and again.

Flash Me a Naughty Santa (Mature)

I was jarred by something. I heard a gasp and a thud followed by the sound of things scattering. I looked down to see a beautiful brunette at my feet completely bewildered. As our eyes met, hers deep green, I felt something other than just the embarrassment pass between us.

I reached out my hand and said, “Let me help you up.”

She became even more still than she was and I heard her inhale quickly. “Yes, thank you.”

She took my hand delicately and, with as much dignity as she could muster, let me help her from the floor. I retrieved her tablet and phone as she grabbed her purse. She smiled warmly and put her hand on my arm and said, “I am so sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going.”

“Consider it my pleasure to be bumped.” I said with a laugh. It has been so long since I have flirted I am not really sure how anymore.

“Join me in a coffee to make it up,” she offered. She seemed to want to prolong our interaction just as I did.

“I was going to order milk and cookies,” I said.

“That's funny because you look so much like the way I always pictured Santa, tall with jolly features and beautiful blue eyes.” She broke eye contact and blushed.

Was it possible she wanted me as much as I wanted her? I haven't been with another woman in what 50 years. Yes, 50 years, but the Mrs. has cut me off and for the last time.

I smiled and laughed, “Ho, ho, ho.” and I watched her eyes fill with wonder.

“Milk and cookies then,” she said. She ordered every cookie they sold to go with our milks. We sat on the same side of the booth and talked for what seemed forever and no time at all.

Soon she had moved so close I could almost touch her and I wanted to so badly. What the heck, all she can do is say no. I put my arm around her shoulders in the most casual way I could. She giggled a little, but did not pull away. In fact she moved closer into my embrace.

Feeling cozy we didn't find much more to talk about, but mostly held each other. Soon the coffee shop owner came over and said “Alright folks, we are closing up. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.” He laughed at his own joke as he walked away.

We gathered our things and then she looked at me desperately. “Oh, it is late. I only live a few blocks away, but would you mind walking me home?”

Though it was late there still seemed to be a crowd on the sidewalk. I put my hand on the small of her back to lead her through the crowd while she led me to her house. I was very excited to be able to touch her and she responded like electricity was coursing through her where my hands fell.

When we reached her door she unlocked it then turned to look at me. “Wanna come in for a night cap before you head out?”

“I don't mind if I do,” I said so happy for any excuse to stay in her company.

She looked so lovely and I couldn't believe she was looking at me like that. I leaned in slowly and kissed her softly. She took half a step closer and deepened the kiss. I put one hand around her waist and the other on the back of her head as I pulled her closer still. Her lips were soft and delicious as they moved with mine. I slid from her lips to her jaw line and then to her neck. I kissed and nibbled. She sighed in my ear as some of her hair fell over her shoulder. I inhaled her and she smelled like strawberries.

I moved the hand that was behind her waist down her side and back up under her shirt. She shivered as my hand passed over her skin. I reached to the back to undo her bra and was foiled by the hook and eye. She giggled as she easily popped it off. I pulled off her shirt and stepped back slightly to take her in. She was even more amazing than I had realized. Her perky breasts called to me like sirens to a forbidden land.

Her lips gave a disappointed pout at the distance between us until she moved close again. Happy once more, she started to unbutton my shirt. With every button she brushed my body sending little electric shocks through every part of me. After my shirt fell to the floor she started to sway as she slowly unzipped her skirt. In a second it had joined our shirts and she stood there in her thong, knee high socks and black heels.
I kissed her again, more fiercely than before. She was feeling my body and I hers. I kissed my way down her neck again and this time didn't stop. My hands found her breasts and as I turned one nipple back and forth they both became hard. My mouth followed my hands and I licked, kissed and slightly grazed my teeth over every inch I passed.

As I kissed her all over she deftly removed my boxers and grabbed my erection. She made me feel passion I had not felt in so long I was throbbing and felt like a man again. She pulled back and took my hand to lead me to the bedroom as we entered I knew we were both now on the naughty list.

So not sure how long flash fiction is aloud to be, but this is piece is 922 words long. It was originally written for Sweet Banana Ink's Bad Santa Blog Hop, but I didn't read the rules well and it is way too long. You should go check them out because the ones I have read so far are awesome. I am still using this for my #FridayFlash

Flash Me Fail

Today is #fridayflash :

Friday is full of fail.

5 words

OK so that may not be the kind of story I was hoping for, but it is fiction because I got a lot done today. Just not writing a flash fiction piece.

Flash Me A Letterboxing Quilt

"Hi honey, we're home," she called out as she opened the door holding it wide so a charging toddler could get by unscathed.

The burly man snatched up the giggling girl and crossed the small living room in 3 strides. He took his wife in his arms and they kissed as the little one tugged gently on his beard. His day had just become complete. "You have a package from Canada," he raised his eyebrow, "or Moon Flowers does."

Her eyes lit up and a squeal of joy that mirrored her daughters escaped her lips. "Yay, happy," she gloated as she released her husband and went to the waiting stack of mail. What greeted her eager eyes was a cheerful green envelope with adorable stamps on the outside. She knew what had to be inside, but couldn't remember any wonderful treasures being on the way. She carefully opened the packed little envelope and gasped with wonder. These had been given up for lost over a year ago.

"What is it that has made you so happy dear?" he asked.

"A beautiful quilt," she replied with her attention focused mostly on the contents of her package.

"A magical quilt that will fit in a tiny envelope or a tiny quilt for dolls?" he teased her.

"For dollies," the toddler gushed as she squirmed to get free of her fathers arms.

"No, Gwen it is not for your dollies. It is for mommies wall." she said as she began laying them out on the table in the dining room.

"Cards!" said Gwen. "Can I help, mommy?"

"Of course you can baby," She said patiently.

Gwen's face wrinkled to a frown and she crossed her arms. "Not baby," she sulked.

Her mother looked up from her wondrous cards and said, "Only babies pout like that."

Gwen hastily slapped on a smile and the pair began to admire the tiny pieces of art that looked like little quilt squares. Each square had a hand carved stamped image on it. They laid them out, rearranged them several times until they were just perfect and finally glued them to a framing mat. They found charming gilt frame in the craft closet and put it all together. As she admired their work she felt the gratification she had been missing since life had become too hectic to work with her art.

"Daddy look. All done!" Gwen said while looking expectantly at her father.

They held up the finished project. "What do you think Matt? Did we do a good job?"

"You certainly did," Matt replied. He smiled and kissed his family. Seeing his wife and daughter so happily absorbed in eachother's company made him feel like the luckiest man in the world.

(This was triggered when I received a box of cards the prompt that I followed was to focus on dialog and stay under 500 words)

The finished quilt.
