I've written scenes that make me really happy and excited because I love the way they came out. And I've written some scenes that came out of no where and caught me by surprise. I'm still waiting for the pounding heart.Kim Switzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08248311322811949516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-156904009904918104.post-80397890150549347952015-07-27T20:15:04.038-04:002015-07-27T20:15:04.038-04:00I know I am into a story when the character or cha...I know I am into a story when the character or characters start telling me things when I am NOT writing.

Glad to hear you are back on track. sometimes those hiccups will yield more productive days afterward. You know you've written some powerful stuff :) Battle scenes always do that to me. Writing the cannon scene in Outlaw Born my heart was racing for Ben and his men. To add to your PSA Green Tea is not a good substitute for oxygen either :P lolElisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12567420139472596391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-156904009904918104.post-441434435460440422015-07-26T13:52:29.501-04:002015-07-26T13:52:29.501-04:00Ear plugs are a good idea to tune out loud snores ...Ear plugs are a good idea to tune out loud snores from the other room, but don't help when little people are poking you in the ribs and tapping your shoulder. So...Glad to see you’ve got your writing-mojo back. Sometimes it’s just a matter of pushing-through your blocks, even when you’re uninspired. It usually takes me about ten minutes of junky writing before my Muse joins in to save the day. After that, we’re in the “writer’s zone” — tappity-tap-tap!

Ah yes, those heart-pounding exciting scenes. Those are the best. String a couple more of those together and you’ve got your readers hooked. For scene writing practice, I like to take my beloved characters and force them into dangerous situations, just to see if I can write my way out of it. I’ll admit, when I threw my favorite hero and heroine into the villain’s crocodile pit, my heart was pounding as I wrote it. I feared for their safety and your readers should too.

Thanks for the hot chocolate PSA warning. Waking small children can be detrimental to your concentration. Invest in some earplugs for maximum concentration. Guaranteed to tune-out those adorable little distractive darlings. =)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06320892796219810173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-156904009904918104.post-18157469144725689562015-07-26T10:55:16.019-04:002015-07-26T10:55:16.019-04:00Sounds like you are back on track.
